A Week Away in Dulverton
My self and Rosemary Miller have recently returned from Dulverton ,Somerset after organising the first ” house party” painting week. There was no tuition and the 14 painters went out and found their own subjects before returning and eating the most wonderful food prepared by a local caterer. Here are some of my paintings

The Art Societies of Alton , Arlesford and Fleet were invited to paint at the Heritage railway that runs from Alton to Arlesford in Hampshire. Whilst we endured thunderstorms I was painting in one of the sheds. A grand day out
Every Friday
I organise Surrey Hills Plein Air Group and we visit various locations around Surrey, occasionaly we venture to the seaside. Whilst there are over 110 members most Fridays between 15 and 20 artists turn up paint and then go to the pub. What better way to spend a Friday is there.

The 74th Chelsea Art Society Exhibition is on from 15th June to 18th June at Chelsea Old Town Hall and the paintings I am exhibiting are
Chelsea Art Society Exhibition 2022
I have just been informed that my Pastel painting ” Looking towards Noss Mayo ” has just won the prestigious Boden prize for the Painting of Exceptional Quality at the 73rd Chelsea Art Society Exhibition . The exhibition is on at The Chelsea Old Town Hall until Monday 20th June at 2-00pm. As you can imagine I am absolutely blown away . Prizes dont come around very often .

During the recent Jubilee celebrations there were some classic vehicle shows both in Elstead and Thursley the next village. Cant resist an old car.

Pastel Society Update
Unfortunately I just missed out on being selected a member of The Pastel Society this year.
As you can imagine very disappointed.
Of the four submissions to the Pastel Society Exhibition 2022 I have just been informed that I was successful in having two selected. They are
The four below were the original submissions that were accepted for consideration for the actual exhibition.
My oil painting was selected for this years ROI exhibition at The Mall Galleries in London. Very excited and pleased apparently over 1700 paintings have been whittled down to 122. The exhibition was on from 24th November to 5th December 21.
